Local Jobs - St. Clair County, Michigan
The St. Clair County area with county seat of Port Huron has a very high unemployment rate. It has been estimated to be as high as 15% or higher. I thought that I would setup a site to match people wanting work, but avoiding the commercial channels.
I hope to have links to popular job sites, like Craigslist, Careerbuilder, Dice and others. But the main goal of this site, is to connect person A with person B. And I am not sure how to do this, but as a developer and a programmer I am working on it. I am continually educating myself as I work with my website clients and programming tasks.
An update to this is the latest economic information unemployment for thos
e with college degrees, which includes those in hi-tech fields. There has been a decline from 5.5% to 4.7% in unemployment to those that have with college degrees. This decline began a couple of summers ago. That is why it is very important for the Blue Water Area to become more educated and to encourage our citizens to continue their education and to go back to school to hone their skills if they have their degrees.
The need in this area, which includes towns like Fort Gratiot, Lakeport, North Street, Avoca, Kenockee, Emmett, Yale, Memphis and other cities has me experimenting in my laboratory, so to speak, to find ways to connect everyone.
